He was predeceased by: his father Willard Hargis; and his brother Ronald Gene Hargis. He is survived by: his mother Doris P. Lawson Hargis of London, KY; his children, Michael Hargis of Brodhead, KY and Kaylee Hargis of Mt. Vernon, KY; and his brother Steven Hargis of Perryville, KY. He is also survived by extended family members, neighbors and friends.
