He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Elmer and Lula Nicely Bustle; his siblings, Burgess, Burness, Ernie, Russell Bustle, Edna Phelps, Rosa Speed, Jewell McQuaid and Ruth Pruitt; and his granddaughter Jessica Holbrook.

He is survived by: his wife Lena Kirby Bustle; and his children, Wilbert Earl Bustle (Kimberly), Robert Harold Bustle (Michelle), Elbert Carl Bustle (Trina), Anna Jane Bustle and Lena Gail Holbrook (Howell).
