He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert O. Pybas and Elizabeth Sappington Pybas. He is survived by: his wife Carol Cummins Pybas; his children, Natalie Neal Pybas Taylor (Troy) and Robert Boone Pybas; his grandsons, Jacob Dean Taylor (Shelbi), Logan Neal Taylor and Zachary Boone Taylor (Heaven); his great grandchildren, Annie Carol Taylor and Cora James Taylor; his sister Marjorie Beard of Dallas, Texas; his brother-in-law Larry Cummins of Cynthiana, Kentucky; and his nieces, Kathy Beard Mayhew and Michelle Beard Widener.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Robert Neal Pybas Music Legacy Fund established to honor a life dedicated to teaching by opening doors for the next generation of young musicians in Rockcastle County.
