He is survived by: his wife Rose Marie Carey; his children, Vince (Tracy), Sharon (Phil), Brian (Aimee) and Clay Carey; his sisters, Betty Proctor (Omer) and Mary Hedgespeth (Terry); his brother-in-law Lynn Durr; his grandchildren, Alexis Carey, Alecia Wathen (Chase), Lauren Bush (Jacob), Austin Colvin (Emily), Brayden Carey, Cody Jaggers, Cyle Jaggers (Peyton) and Kylie Roth; and his great grandchildren, Cooper Colvin, Stetson Bush, Adelaide Larkin and Harper Jaggers.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home (111 N Bardstown Rd, Mt Washington, KY 40047). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at the Mt. Washington Cemetery.
