Eva leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Eva’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Eva will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Wesley and Mary Regina Newton; her husband James Leslie; and her son Stephen Patrick Leslie. She is survived by: her brother Tommy Newton (Sandy). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 9:00 AM at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home (111 N Bardstown Rd, Mt Washington, KY 40047). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at the St. Joseph Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests that all donations be made to her church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
