We are sad to announce that on October 12, 2025, at the age of 89, Herbert Slaughter (Mount Washington, Kentucky) passed away. He was predeceased by: his parents, Taylor Edward and Nellie Jessup Slaughter; and his brothers, John, David, Edward and Ray Slaughter.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Pulley Slaughter; his children, Lynn Slaughter, Karen Weaver (Jim) and Neil Slaughter (Koleene); and his siblings, Alton Slaughter and Wanda Nash (James). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 9:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (Mt. Washington Cemetery) (320 N Bardstown Rd, Mt Washington, KY 40047). A burial will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at the Mt. Washington Cemetery.
