He was predeceased by: his wife Sue McMahan; his sons, Chuck and Tony McMahan; his parents, Anna McMahan and Jacob McMahan; and his siblings, Joe, Henry, Robert, Bill McMahan and Mary Knott.
He is survived by: his children, Janice Philpott (Steve), Rick McMahan (Mary), Dennis McMahan (Vicky) and Dale McMahan (Margie); and his daughter-in-law Shannon McMahan. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Schmid Funeral Home (9500 Hwy 44 E, Mt Washington, KY 40047). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church (155 Stringer Ln, Mt Washington, KY 40047). A burial will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at the Highland Memory Gardens (279 Landis Ln, Mt Washington, KY 40047).
