It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Smith (Mount Washington, Kentucky), who passed away on February 11, 2026, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Marshall Porter and Mary Burch Harris; her husband B. P. Smith; her son James W. Curtsinger; her siblings, Morris Porter, Alan Porter, Mary Judy Curtsinger and Betty Sanders Blair; and her stepmother Cloetta Porter.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Curtsinger (Danny), Gary Porter, Shelby Curtsinger and Jason Curtsinger (Rhonda); and her sisters, Rose Lucchese and Rebecca Monte. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
