He was predeceased by: his father Jimmy Lafever; his stepfather Paul Faulkner; his grandfather Charles Childress; his uncle Tony Childress; and his nephew Brandon Self.
He is survived by: his mother Peggy Faulkner; his children, Joshua Todd Lafever Jr. (Cassidy) and Jadelyn Lafever (James); his grandchildren, Emery Lynn Lafever and James Earl Emerson III; his grandmother Doris Childress; his uncles, Michael Childress and Chuck Childress; his aunt Angela Self (Mike); and his brother Chip Goins (Cheyenne). He is also survived by nieces and nephews; along with many other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home. A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home.
