He was predeceased by: his parents, William Robert Cornell and Elizabeth Louise Porter Cornell; his wife Nancy Love Carnes Cornell; and his sons, Duane F. Cornell and Daniel K. Cornell.
He is survived by: his children, Marilyn Hardy (Bill) and Dale Cornell (Tammie); his daughter-in-law Carole Cornell; his brother Roy Vernon Cornell (Shirley); his girlfriend Betty Thornsberry; and his partner's daughters, Angie Logsdon, Cindy Sellers (Jeff) and Missy Welch (Larry). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
