He was predeceased by: his parents, Raphael Hayes and Dolly Short Hayes; his wife Linda Jenkins Hayes; his son Ricky Hayes; his granddaughter Madison Hope Sparkman; and his brothers, Shirl Hayes, Ivan Hayes, Charles Hayes and Von Hayes.
He is survived by: his children, David Watkins (Ginger), Tina Huff (Darrell), Tammy Covey (Mike) and Glenda Cook (Robert); and his siblings, Rodney Hayes, Opal Scott, Barb Dixon and Anna Mae Moore. He is also survived by 10 Grandchildren & 6 Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM and on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home - Hindman Chapel (125 Parks Rd, Hindman, KY 41822). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 7:00 PM and on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM.
