He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Hunt and Evaline Abshire Hunt; his wife Sandy Harrison Hunt; and his brothers, Bobby Abshire and Paul Randall Hunt.

He is survived by: his sons, Brady Hunt of Mouthcard, KY and Chadwick Hunt of West Liberty, KY; his grandchildren, Austin Hunt and Shaylee Hunt; and his sisters, Adarine Thacker of Lick Creek, KY, Velvet Estep of Feds Creek, KY, Thelma Freeman of Feds Creek, KY and Jeanetta Norling of Paulding, OH..

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel (112 Elkhorn St, Elkhorn City, KY 41522). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
