It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Ann Eckenrode (Murray, Kentucky), born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, who passed away on March 29, 2026, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Dorothy; her stepfather Winston Johnson; her father Ralph Chase; her in-laws, Robert and Dorothy Eckenrode; her siblings-in-law, Raymond Eckenrode, Neil Fairbanks, Kathleen Wall (Eckenrode) and Rae Ann Unger; her husband Richard Eckenrode; her children, Sue Eckenrode and Rick Eckenrode (Evelyn); her grandchildren, Marissa Armstrong (Eric), Daniel Eckenrode, Steven Skifter (Taylor), Zoe Eckenrode, Lacianne Skifter and Robbie Eckenrode; her great grandchildren, Autumn, Eisley and Ewan Armstrong; her brother-in-law Gary Wall; and her friend Karen.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to St. Jude's or the ASPCA, two organizations close to Barb's heart.
