He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Audie Balentine and Florence Balentine (Askew); and his siblings, Ralph Balentine, Flora Mae Higgins, Dorothy Baker, Thomas Balentine, Helen Litchfield, Velie Eads, William Balentine and Margie Nell Balentine.
He is survived by: his wife Gayle Balentine (Payne); his stepdaughters, Angel Renick (Dan) of Murray and Melissa Layton (Barry) of Murray; his grandchildren, Will Layton (Vivian), Katherine Hanes (Jack), Audrey Renick, Olivia Layton, Chase Renick and Thomas Renick; his great grandchildren, Henry Hanes, Charlie Hanes, Mary Katherine Hanes and Crawford Layton; and his siblings, Alice McCoy (Homer) of Murray, Rev. Elijah Balentine of Dexter and Jerry Balentine of Indianapolis, IN. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. (713 S 4th St, Murray, KY 42071). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
