It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lynwood Cowan of Murray, Kentucky, born in Paris, Tennessee, who passed away on April 1, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Reverend Frank Scott Cowan and Ella Irene Dawson Cowan; and his siblings, Reverend Glenn Cowan, Lt. Brenda Denise Cowan and Helen Oneda Cowan.

He is survived by : his siblings, Fred Jerome Cowan of Bowling Green, Kentucky and Myrtle Louise Cowan of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; and his niece Tania Imoto.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 8th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the New Salem Missionary Baptist Church (118 6th St, Sturgis, KY 42459). A memorial service was held on Monday, April 8th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
