He was predeceased by: his parents, Andy Newsom and Alma Adams Newsom; his significant other Peach; and his siblings, Tom Newsom, Ed Newsom, Phillip Newsom, Golda Cooper, Eulene Young and Imogene Gulley.
He is survived by: his son Steve Newsom (Lisa) of Muses Mills; his grandchildren, Amber DeAtley (David) of Muses Mills, Allison Sutherland (Jon) of Georgetown and Tyler Newsom (Samantha) of Muses Mills; his great grandchildren, Dylan DeAtley, Abigail DeAtley, Arlo Sutherland and Annaleise Sutherland; his siblings, Bill Newsom (Brenda), Sam Newsom (Jenny) and Phyllis Boling (Jerry); and his siblings-in-law, Jimmy Gulley, Velma Newsom and Margie Littleton. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Muses Mill Christian Church (6861 KY-11, Mays Lick, KY 41055). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Muses Mills Christian Church (6861 KY-11, Mays Lick, KY 41055).
