It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fern Coner Taylor of Nancy, Kentucky, who passed away on May 30, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ed Coner and Beulah Beshears Coner; her husband Densel Taylor; her children, Darrell Taylor and Diann Brotherton (Ron); her great grandchild Matthew Newland; her siblings, Wilford Coner, Willard, Jesse Coner (Rosetta), Geraldine Loveless (Marvin), Kenneth Coner (Dora Lynn) and Charles Coner; her brother-in-law Larry Daulton; her niece Barbara Thornburg; and her nephews, Larry Corner and Leonard Coner.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Angie Brotherton (Mike Gastineau) of Eubank, Melissa Helm (Troy) of Columbus, IN, Aimee Brotherton of Somerset and Tracy Taylor (Deborah) of Nancy; her great grandchildren, Durand Shelton, Bryson Taylor, Sophie Taylor, Nolan Taylor, Kayla Newland and Kyle Newland; her daughter-in-law Connie Taylor of Nancy; her siblings, Joe Coner (Venus) of Nancy, Billy Coner (Cathy) of Nancy, Katheleen Daulton of Nicholasville, Aline Todd (Jeff) of Somerset and Gina Roberts of Somerset; her sister-in-law Brenda Coner of Nancy; and also Bobbi Friday. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and extended family members, neighbors and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home (1046 KY-80, Somerset, KY 42503). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home (1046 KY-80, Somerset, KY 42503).
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland in memory of Fern Taylor.
