He was predeceased by : his parents, Emond Short and Bernice Short (Shrout); his wife Wankaew Short; and his brothers, Donald and Ronald Short.

He is survived by : his daughter Sandy Denham (Jason) of Nancy; his grandchildren, Cory, Sophia, Hayley and Eric; his nieces, Renee, Joann and Melinda; his nephew David; and his daughter Kim Morano. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
