He was predeceased by : his wife Edith; his parents, Harlan Brumley and Roberta Brumley; his siblings, Herbert Brumley, Ruth Hignite and Melvin Brumley, Jr.; and his son Donald "Donnie" Brumley.

He is survived by : his daughter Beverly Rusk (Tom); his grandchildren, Candace Jones (Daniel), Sean Rusk (Ashley) and Krystal Alcorn (Tra); his great grandchildren, Mason, Gavin, Cole, Blayke and Saylor; and his brother Harold Brumley (Carol). He is also survived by many Nieces and Nephews.
