He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Anna Phelps Ryan and Edwin Ryan; his siblings, William Edwin Ryan, Bobbie Ryan and Betty Jean Burton; and his siblings-in-law, Fred Lopes and Connie Ryan.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Ann Morgan Ryan; his siblings, Joseph Ryan and Beverly Lopes; his sons, Raymond Ryan (Beverly), Thomas Ryan (Tori), Michael Ryan (Tammy), Steven Ryan (Tamsen) and Tyler Ryan (Gabrielle); his grandchildren, Ashtan Ryan, Cody Ryan, Brooklyn Frey (Jontorri), JD Ryan, Kaylee Ryan of Thomas Ryan, JR, Kimberlee Ryan, Billy Teafatiller, Corey Wing, Lexi Wing, Bailey Ryan (Callie Casteel), Savannah Ryan, Madison Ryan, Camden Cromer, River Ryan and Maliyah Brinson; his great grandchildren, Lincoln Franks, Liam Franks, Jeremiah Frey, Brielle Frey, Jalen Frey, Jonathan Frey, Issac Teafatiller, Katalinah Medrano, LaurelRose Bowling, Kohen James Lee, Dakota Teafatiller and Ciara Teafatiller; and his niece Kendra Epperson (Danny Teafatiller). He is also survived by extended family members, neighbors, and many special friends.
Honoring James' request, the family asks that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Lake Cumberland, in memory of James Ryan.
