It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Veda Halvey of Nancy, Kentucky, who passed away on July 16, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Veda had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Veda may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter DeGhetto and Elmira Gower DeGhetto; her daughter JoAnne Halvey; and her grandson Joshua Halvey. She is survived by: her children, Robert Halvey of Columbus, OH, Peter Halvey of Columbus, OH, Debra Grochowski (Daniel) of Nancy, KY and Claudette Halvey of Columbus, OH. She is also survived by five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
