He was predeceased by: his parents, J. R. Burton and Wilma Riggs Burton; and his sister Carolyn Herron. He is survived by: his wife Rita Burton of Nebo, KY; his sons, Jeremy (Tiffany) of Hanson, KY and Chris (Steffani) of Princeton, KY; and his grandchildren, Skyler Burton, Whitney Burton (Garrett Powell), Katelyn Burton (Connor Parshall) and Isabella "Boo" Burton. He is also survived by 4 nephews.
