He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Fugate and Vesta Noble Fugate; his son Vurl Fugate Jr.; his grandparents, Granville, Julie Fugate, Ambrose and Omega Noble; and his brother James Edward Fugate.
He is survived by: his wife Dianne Fugate; his cousin Glen Noble; his sister Inez Liftig (Robert); his grandson Liam Jacob Fugate; and his nieces, Anya Liftig and Dorothy Saenz (Steven).
