She was predeceased by : her parents, John W. Long and Margie Long (Morris); and her husband Gordon Elliott. She is survived by : her children, Melissa Benedict (Dale) of LaGrange, Alan Bovard Shirley of LaGrange, Gordon Elliott Shirley (Jennifer) of Prospect and James Ford Durrett of LaGrange; and her grandchildren, Chelsea, Alexandra, Graham, Brandon, Jack and Francesca.
