He was predeceased by: his parents, Lula Craddock Sweet Kennedy and Leo Kennedy; and his siblings, Boyd Allen Kennedy, Alice Snyder and Viola Morgan.

He is survived by: his siblings, William Earl Kennedy, James Kennedy (Mary Ethel), Charles Gordon Kennedy (Patty), Ada Warren, Lou Ann Allen (Clifton) and Margaret Sherrard (Richard). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
