It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Charlie Alvey of New Haven, Kentucky, who passed away on July 27, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Charlie Alvey to show support.
He was predeceased by: his wife Billie Joyce Ray Alvey; his parents, Thomas Sr. Alvey and Stella Alvey; and his siblings, Russell, Catherine, Ed, Joe Billy, Monica, Marvin and Frankie.
He is survived by: his children, Tim Alvey (Jackie) and Mona Snider (John); his sisters, Lillian Bizzell (Tom) and Martha Wheeler (Chess); and his grandchildren, Andrea Smith (Barry), Mason Alvey (Audrey) and Garrett Alvey. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 8:00 AM at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home (324 W Center St, New Haven, KY 40051). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Catherine Catholic Church.
