He was predeceased by: his parents, John Reed and Mary Reed; his wife Teresa Dewitt Reed; and his close friend Sylvia Price. He is survived by: his children, Kathryn Reed, Carolyn LaFollette (Roger), Michael (Bernadette), Mark (Becky), Melvin and Merle Reed (Sherry). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 8:00 AM at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home (324 W Center St, New Haven, KY 40051). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Catherine Catholic Church.
