He was predeceased by: his parents, William, Sr. Ballard and Hilda Ballard; his grandson Willy Ballard, IIII; his sisters, Josephine Bryan (Joey) and Lavon Wimsett (Joe); and his sons-in-law, Hollis Beatty and Jimmy Morris.
He is survived by: his children, William "Buster" Ballard, III, Mike Ballard, Hilda Ann Beatty, Mary Edith Ballard, Veronica Morris, Margaret Ann Berry (Rick) and Barbara Ann Ballard. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 8:00 AM at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home (324 W Center St, New Haven, KY 40051). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Catherine Catholic Church. A burial was held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at the St. Thomas Cemetery (700 St Thomas Ln, Bardstown, KY 40004).
