With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Gregory Francis Fischer of New Hope, Kentucky, born in Covington, Kentucky, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Francis Fischer and Constance Rose Fischer Zimmerman; his stepfather Robert Zimmerman; his siblings, Joseph Fischer, Elizabeth Hambrick and Miriam Kelly; his stepbrother Bob Zimmerman; his brothers-in-law, Howard Smith and Tim Kelly; and his nephew Timmy Kelly.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Goepferich Fischer; his sons, Joseph Fischer of Nashville, TN and Gregory Fischer (Lynn) of Narberth, PA; his grandsons, Jackson and Boden; his siblings, Michael Fischer (JoAnne) of Martinsville, IN, Mary Brackman (Mark) of Wilmington, NC, Anne Fischer-Smith of Tracy, CA, Connie Klump (William) of Glen Ellyn, IL and John Fischer (Penny) of Marietta, GA; and his stepbrother Jim Zimmerman (Lorraine) of Apopka, FL. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mattingly Funeral Home (195 Holy Cross Rd, Loretto, KY 40037). A prayer will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church (104 Church Street (New Hope), New Hope, KY 40052).
