He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Lucas Merrick; and his father-in-law Jerry Wright. He is survived by: his father Wilbern G. Merrick; his wife Melinda Wright Merrick of Nicholasville; his sister Margaret Carol Merrick; his nephew Joshua Honican; his niece Macie Hatfield Tackett (Kane); his sister-in-law Gwen Hatfield (Tim); his mother-in-law Billie Jean Wright; and also, Kenneth Wright (Elizabeth) and Mike Wright.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Betts & West Funeral Home (404 N Main St, Nicholasville, KY 40356). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Newsome-Wright Cemetery.
