It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine Ann Montgomery of Nicholasville, Kentucky, born in Hope, Kentucky, who passed away on April 8, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Tandy Shearer and Ida Mae Shearer; and her brother Ramah Shearer. She is survived by : her husband William Carl Montgomery; her sons, William Ray Montgomery (Claudia) and Darryl Edward Montgomery (Cheryl); her siblings, Benjamin Phillip Shearer (Karen), Marie Courtney and Angie Napier (Tom); her sister-in-law Stella Shearer; and her grandchildren, Brandon Ray Montgomery, Colin Jared Montgomery, Kala Renee Lubbers (Brian), Melinda Dawn Stevenson (Steven) and Ryan Travis Montgomery (Robin). She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Wells Funeral Home (777 W College Ave, Stanton, KY 40380). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at the Elkin Cemetery (169 Hurt Ave, Clay City, KY 40312).
