She was predeceased by : her husband Donald Laverne Akers; her parents, Leo Harrod and Laura Marie Carney Harrod; and her sister Betty Gibbs. She is survived by : her children, Laura Johns (Stephen), Stewart Crutchfield (Laura) and Lainie Taylor (Joe); and her stepchildren, David L. Akers (Cindy), Jessica Ann Akers and Tammy Michelle Wagner (Ryan). She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren, and 2 step-great-grandchildren.
