It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack Perry Messer Jr. (Nicholasville, Kentucky), born in Harlan, Kentucky, who passed away on April 12, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Jack Bigelow and Hazel Owens Moore. He is survived by : his wife Melissa Brumley Messer; his children, Joseph Messer, Jacob Messer, Danny Ray Brumley, Brandon Ray Brumley (Mary), Sarah Jo Messer Bruining and Shannon Lynn Brumley (Derrick Foresman); his grandchildren, Kyla Bruining, Raylyn, Luke Foresman and Heavenly; his siblings, James Bolling (Kathy), Richard Bolling (Laurie), William Bolling (Debbie), Ruby Coldiron, Barbara Allen (Marvin), Tammy Campos and Melissa Narwold; his sister-in-law Michelle Starr; his mother-in-law Janice Starr; his niece Ashley Nicole Starr; and his brother-in-law Kenneth Starr.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Betts & West Funeral Home (404 N Main St, Nicholasville, KY 40356). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
