We announce the death of Janet Carol Meade (Nicholasville, Kentucky), who passed away on August 22, 2026, at the age of 83. Janet will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Harmon and Imogene Harmon (Harman); and her significant other Harold. She is survived by: her children, Dr. Phillip Todd Meade (Shelby) and Kristen Rebekah Hughes (Jeff); her grandchildren, Brooklyn Taylor Meade, Christopher Tracy Harper, Jared Logan Meade, Lucas Aiden Meade and Madelyn Elizabeth Grace Hughes; and her sisters, Nancy Casey, Reba Rodebaugh (John) and Deloris McGuire (Jeff). She is also survived by niece and 2 nephews.
A graveside service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery (6980 Danville Rd, Nicholasville, KY 40356). A celebration of life was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the Porter Memorial Baptist Church (4300 Nicholasville Rd, Lexington, KY 40515).
