We announce the death of John Chester Bryant in Nicholasville, Kentucky, who passed away on August 11, 2026, at the age of 91. John Chester will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Temple Bryant and Mary Little Bryant; and his siblings, Cecil Bryant, Herbert Bryant, Mary Estella Giroux (Carmichael), Eileen Malouf (Carmichael) and Forrest Elton Carmichael.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce I. Bryant; his children, Jacqueline Falls (Gregory) of Mobile, James Bryant of Hancock, John Bryant (Kathryn) of Fernandina Beach and Joseph Bryant (Raquel) of Hancock, Maine; and his stepdaughters, Wendy Goodwin (David) of Fairhaven and Susan McElligott (Scott) of Winchester, Kentucky. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson; as well as extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Alfred's Episcopal Church, 1601 Curlew Road, Palm Harbor, Florida 34683, where John and Joyce were active members for many years.
