He was predeceased by: his parents, Blaine Othaniel Davis and Marjorie Alice King Davis; his siblings, Paul Cook, Ruth Lewis, Lucile Kaldor and Joyce Felton; and his children, Donna Jean Schlueter, Esther Marie Cleer, Roger Paul Davis (Buddy) and Richard Alan Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Larue Shick Davis; and his daughters, Cheri Harner (Douglas) of Madera, CA and Shirley Young (Carey) of Nicholasville, KY.. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, over 40 great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Clays Mill Baptist Church.
