He was predeceased by: his parents, Wiley Robert and Aileen Marie Hook (Putman) of White Plains; his siblings, Floyd, Lonnie, Charlie Hook and Virginia Todd; his grandparent W. G. Putman; and his great grandchild Brylee Patterson.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Rodgers Hook; his children, Holly Whitaker (Gary) and Richard "Ricky" Hook (Ashley); his grandchildren, James Demoss (Ashley), Nathaniel Demoss (Crystal Parrish), Ashley Demoss (Brian Hendricks), Noah Demoss (Hannah), William Hook (Martina) and Colby Patterson (Bailey); and his great grandchildren, Daylen Demoss, Bentley Demoss, Legend Hook, Nayvie Patterson, Henley Hendricks and Rylan Demoss.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Pleasant Hill General Baptist Church (150 Stones Chapel Rd, Nortonville, KY 42442). A burial was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery (150 Stones Chapel Rd, Nortonville, KY 42442).
