She was predeceased by: her parents, Emma Lou Sipps and Arthur Gates; her children, Timothy Oldham and Arlene Gates; her siblings, Bishop Willie Lee Johnson, Lillie Mae Johnson and Nale Brooks; and her son-in-law Willie Frank.
She is survived by: her children, Elder Arthur Gates (Pondra), Vanessa Ponton, Mary Joyce Gates and Sophia Rhodes; and her brother Benny Gates. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Gamble Funeral Home (1311 Liberty St, Hopkinsville, KY 42240). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
