He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Lavern and Dorothy Petty Moats; his son Jeramy Moats; and his siblings, Herbert, Bobby, Roger Moats, Patricia Moats, Venida Moats and Mickie Hendricks.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Moats; his son Brandon Moats (Cody); his grandchildren, Joey Moats, Dylan Moats, Halie Moats and Garrett Moats (Lacey); his daughter-in-law Rachel Oates; his siblings-in-law, Harold Logan, Neil Johnson, Carlos Johnson (Mandy) and Janice Moats; and his pet Rudy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
