He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elmer Carpenter and Bertie Carpenter of Olive Hill, Kentucky.; his children, Glenda G. Albers (Walter), Nancy S. Schaffer and Bryan D. Carpenter (Patricia); his grandchildren, Lauren M. Hinkle (Andrew), Ronald J. Debick, Bryan S. Carpenter and Diamond R. Texter; his great grandchildren, Paul B. Texter, James E. Carpenter, Daniel W. Carpenter, Ciara N. Carpenter, Ayden and Rylan Hinkle; his siblings, Edward, Edna, Connie, Eugene, Paul, Marvin, Phyllis and Ruby; Maggie Marie Zarycki (Carpenter).
In Lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to the Deaf Teen Quest fund of the Youth for Christ ministry.
