He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Johnson and Maybel Fankell Johnson; and his siblings, Maxine Miller, Virginia Carter, Orilla Maggard, Eva Nell Burchett, Ray Johnson and Harlan Wayne Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Wilma Gaye Spence Johnson; his son James Darren Johnson (Misty Burchett); his grandsons, Jeremy and Lincoln; and his sister Betty Sullivan.
