Though Maudie may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Lowery and Edna Weible; her husband William Lewis Blum; and her children, William Lewis Blum Jr. and Julia Naioma Berhend.
She is survived by: her daughter Kathy Woods (David) of Olive Hill; her sister Janice Hague; and her grandchildren, William Christopher Wheatley and Julia Christina Johnson. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren, and a host of other family members and friends.
