Walter will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. He was predeceased by: his father Walter Cox; his wife Darlene Johnson Cox; and his sister Rena Porter. He is survived by: his children, Walter Jason Cox Jr. (Jessica) of Clay City, Kentucky, Beverly Joanne Minor (Jerry) of Olive Hill and Deborah Renee Steadman (Douglas) of Hitchins, Kentucky. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, along with many other family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Globe Funeral Chapel (17277 W US. Hwy 60, Olive Hill, KY 41164). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
