James leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. James’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew James will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Tomblin and Helen Blevins Tomblin; his daughter Della Tomblin; and his siblings, Robert Tomblin and Myrtle Beasley.
He is survived by: his wife Nellie Evans Tomblin; his children, Alan Tomblin (Sherie), Jacob Tomblin, Jamie Tomblin (Amy), Angel Smith and Sheila Tomblin; and his sister Glenna Woodhill. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a host of family and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Richardson Funeral Home (121 E Main St, Owingsville, KY 40360). A graveside service was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Owingsville Cemetery (129 Cemetary St, Owingsville, KY 40360).
