She was predeceased by: her parents, Jeptha Gay and Amanda Gay; her husband Mark Dean; and her siblings, Dale Gay, David Gay, Bobbie Brewster, Vergie and Silvia Gay.

She is survived by: her children, Terry Lynn (Anna Seals) of Corbin, KY, James Dalton "Dinky" (Penny Seals) of Oneida, KY and Debi (Phil Mitchell) of Marion, IN; and her grandchildren, Stephanie Jones (Byran), Heather Allen and Shelly Jackson (Ryan). She is also survived by six great- grandchildren and two great- great-grandchildren.
