He was predeceased by: his parents, Burkey Deaton and Etta Barger Deaton; and his siblings, Donald, Billie Jean and Martha Faye.
He is survived by: his children, Simon Douglas of Oneida, Paul Wagers of Oneida, James Oakley Deaton (Laura) of Oneida, William Robert Wells of Oneida, Kevin Wells of Jeffersonville, IN, Sandra Kay Childers (Dillon) of Somerset, Christina Cain (Bo) of Louisville and Susie Long of Louisville; and his siblings, Carl Edward Deaton of Oneida and Janet Abner of Manchester. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Britton Funeral Home (27 Old Hwy 421, Manchester, KY 40962). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
