He is survived by: his wife Gracie Rader Shelton; his son Charles D. Shelton, II (Alicia) of Orlando; his siblings, Morris Shelton of Indiana, Gary Shelton of Indiana, Beth Windhorst of Ohio, Mitchell Rader, Johnny Rader, Ruby Vanzant, Elaine Bowles, Eva Anglin and Barbara Jean Rader; and his in-law Louella Rader.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Johnetta Cemetery (391 Dry Fork Rd, Orlando, KY 40460).
