It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Anna Jean Shock of Owensboro, Kentucky, who passed away on June 2, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William D. Kirkman and Florence Francies Kirkman; her former husband George Edward Shock, Sr.; her children-in-law, Vicki Shock, Jack Rayman and Jeffrey Spratley; and her siblings, Bernard Kirkman, Bernis Kirkman, Hubert Kirkman, Holbert Kirkman, Verdie Williams and Vernell Williams.
She is survived by: her husband Haven Pentecostal Church; her siblings, William G. Kirkman of Owensboro, KY and Kathleen Oxford of Frisco, TX; her children, Kathryn Rayman, Dolores Hill (Kenny), Elisabeth James (Rodney), George Edward Shock, Jr. (Terri) and Gregory D. Shock Sr. (Karen); and her grandchildren, Katrina Rayman, Sarah Lanham Darin (Lee), Jamie Shock, David Shock, Jr. (Jamie), Forrest James, Jacob James (Amber) and Joshua James. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory (3009 Frederica St, Owensboro, KY 42301). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
