He was predeceased by: his parents, John Philip and Mary Emma Murphy Blair; his brothers, John Thomas Blair (Janie), Jerome Clyde Blair, Jerome Paul Blair, Michael Joseph Blair and Daniel Edward Blair; and his brother-in-law Dennis Peerman.
He is survived by: his wife Stanette Embrey Blair; his children, Philip Blair (Jennifer) of Owensboro, KY, Bethany Blair (Jerry Carver) of Fayetteville, NC, Gretchen Young (Michael) of Owensboro, KY, Jared Blair of Greenwood, IN, Liane Riney (Mark) of Owensboro, KY, Joshua Blair (Lori) of Newburgh, IN, Rebecca Williams (Nick) of Owensboro, KY, Elleny Ashby (Jason) of Owensboro, KY, Marietta Blair (Clay Stringer) of Owensboro, KY, Margaret Smith (Chris) of Knoxville, TN and Anna Simmons (TJ) of Owensboro, KY.; his siblings, Mary Jones (John), Angela Peerman and Robert Blair (Gail); and his sisters-in-law, Bonnie Blair, Lucy Blair of Owensboro, KY and Elsie Blair of Reed, KY. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and family friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A prayer was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory (519 Locust St, Owensboro, KY 42301). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Augustine Catholic Church (16777 KY-811, Reed, KY 42451). A burial was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at the St. Augustine Cemetery.
