She was predeceased by: her parents, Ulysses Reed and Minnie Reed (Drake); her husband James E. Wathen; her granddaughter Savanah Lee Wathen; and her siblings, Marjorie Johnson, Catherine "Alice" Burden and Robert "Buck" Reed.
She is survived by: her sons, Tony Wathen (Angela) and Vern Wathen (Kelly); her grandchildren, Taylor, Logan, Zach, Shaylee, Luke and Gage; her great grandchildren, Gauge, Conner, Charleigh and Henry; and her close friends, Maudie Browning and Sandy Price.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory (519 Locust St, Owensboro, KY 42301). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Saint Stephen Cathedral (610 Locust St, Owensboro, KY 42301).
